Dolphins Slaughtered in Japan; Worldwide Outrage and Protest


My wife showed me a photo in the Toronto Star this morning, beside an article about the Taiji slaughter of dolphins in Japan:





There has been a film made about this annual travesty, yet the Star is reporting that the kill is on again in 2009. The Cove, winner of the 2009 Audience Award at Robert Redford's Sundance Film Festival in Utah, portrays Taiji as a charming town with a darker self, a place where Norman Rockwell meets Norman Bates.
