By naming Wael Ghonim as their symbolic spokesperson, leaders of the April 6th Youth Movement in Egypt, the organizers of the Tahrir Square protests in Cario Egypt, are not only demanding the Egyptian authorities release him, but are also stating that Wael is eminently qualified to represent the interests of the Egypt's youth.
When asked by media who will represent the young people of Egypt in talks with the government, they respond "speak to Wael."

Wael Ghonim has been a tremendous contributor to the growth of the Arabic language on the Internet, and is widely respected in Egypt and abroad. Let's hope and pray that Wael is safe and unharmed and will soon emerge at the negotiating table, helping to lead Egypt back to its rightful place among the progressive nations of the world.
