For a few days it was puzzling trying to figure out why the PM would defend the criminal, and then it dawned on more than a few that perhaps the problem was more widespread. Even though it is time for Stephen Harper and his Reform Conservatives to move on, the alternatives are not enticing. The other thing is, Harper has actually been better than many imagined, and some feared.
The Liberals are ineffectively led and too right wing / out of touch with Main Street, while the progressive vote is split between the NDP and the Green Party. I and others are advocating a merger of the latter two groups, and there'll be more on that in the weeks to come.
In any case, Oda is no longer able to carry out her duties, having been caught in too many lies, and the PM himself seems wobbly.
